Notes of Spring Cut & Mix Cards and Crayon Box – Spring Break Craft Crate

Hey Guys! Spring is in full swing, and it’s the perfect time for cheerful, colorful paper crafting! Today, I’m sharing two fun projects from our Spring Break Craft Crate series: two Cut & Mix cards and a coordinating treat box.

Project 1: Cut & Mix Cards

Let’s start with the cards!

Cut & Mix is one of my favorite ways to jumpstart creativity. If you’ve ever felt stuck staring at your supplies, this method gives you an instant layout and gets your project moving.

How It Works

  • Start with two pieces of Designer Series Paper
  • Stack and cut them at 2″
  • Mix the pieces between the two card fronts
  • Create two coordinated cards

It’s quick, easy, and incredibly effective. It’s an easy way to take the guesswork out of designing while still getting a unique look every time.

The Cut & Mix technique is flexible – you can rotate, flip, or swap DSP patterns to create endless variations.

Project 2: Coordinating Crayon Treat Box

Now for the star of the set – the crayon box!

And let me tell you… this one is just so cute.

It’s the kind of box that makes people smile before they even open it.

What Makes It Special?

  • It’s compact but sturdy
  • It’s shadow box design is a delightful surprise
  • And it’s perfectly coordinated to the Cut & Mix cards

We used ours to hold adorable bunny crayons, but you could easily swap in:

  • Little notes or gifts
  • Wrapped candies 🍬
  • Small toys
